8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! 9 Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals [foods] which have never benefited those who participated in them. Hebrews 13:7-9

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!
We are living in a time when the word "religion" is being attacked from every direction. Conflict abounds in our society,

as "religiosity" speaks loudly among people.
There are many religions, but only one which results in relationship with God, our Father in Heaven.
In Hebrews 13: 7-9 we are told... Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals [foods] which have never benefited those who participated in them.

 
Have you ever stopped to think that in the time of Jesus, when He walked, He just walked and talked in fellowship?

He gave sermons and spoke parables, and He healed, and miracles happened. It was awesome and amazing for the people of that time! They followed Him, sought, Him and listened to His words. He fed them with loaves and fishes and He turned water into wine!

Have you ever just closed your eyes and imagined yourself right there walking alongside Jesus in that time? 
To me, that is the Old Time Religion that we all need to focus on and get back to... the only "real religion" based on the Truth of God's word and a relationship through Jesus Christ, our Savior!

It is my prayer that we listen intently as we go through each day, knowing that Jesus still walks and ministers, heals the sick, feeds and clothes the hungry and poor. He still speaks in parables and shares His Father's word. He still carries our burdens so we don't have to. That is why He went to the cross to die for the sinfulness of mankind, so that we may live.  
It is the love of our Father in Heaven, His presence within our heart that allows us to work as His vessels, moving forward and doing all those things that Jesus did and more.

That is old time religion and yes... it is good enough for me.
