God’s GPS… are you humbled enough to ask for direction? Psalms 120:1

I recently received a letter from a man who was inspired while working at his job as a truck driver to write this

short testimonial.
The other day I was in St. Louis, Mo.  I was looking for a business where I had to deliver some things. I was traveling south on Kings Highway when I realized I didn’t know exactly where I was or where this road would lead me.

A thought popped into my head.
When we are lost and don’t know which way is out of a bad place to be, we need a GPS to guide us.

Like life itself, sometimes we get confused, lose our way or just don’t know what to do. This is when you depend

on GPS. No, not the Global Positioning System, but the other GPS -- God’s "Plan for Salvation".

When life has brought you to a fork in the road and you don’t know the way, depend on the Lord. Repent of your sins, ask the Lord to save you from your sins and to help you through life’s journey. Through good times and bad times, He will guide you if you put your faith in Him.

The Bible says in Psalms 120:1, “In my distress, I cried unto the Lord and He heard me.”

He is always there to show us the way.

It may seem like you are lost in a strange city and you don’t see a way out of your trouble, but there is always a way through God.  I am living proof that no one is too lost to save and never too lost to get on the right road.

I often think of one of my favorite Bible verses in John 8:36.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

We are all lost at some time in our lives, but through the help of the Lord we can always get on the right road.

The above post is an awesome testimonial that I think we can all identify with. As it is a human tendency of pride to

fail to ask for direction when we are lost in this world, we also have a tendency to think that we can handle being spiritually lost as well.

My prayer for today is that we remember as this testimonial tells us:  When we are lost and don’t know which way is out of a bad place to be, we need God’s GPS to guide us.  We need God’s "Plan for Salvation".

When we cry out unto our Lord and He hears us, we are set on a new path in life. We are no longer lost. We are set on the right road, following His direction instead of our own.

Praise God for His glorious plan for our lives to know Him, love Him and to be loved by Him.  In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
