Perfect love.....God's simple truth. 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18)
John is often referred to as the Apostle of love; also known as the Disciple Jesus loved.  John walked with Jesus. Because of this, John knew the perfect love of Jesus and he helps us to understand love, so that we can become the people of perfect love that Jesus calls us to be.

Have you ever met anyone who almost instantly filled your heart with love?  Just being around them, you can feel their warmth and they make you feel all warm inside, too?
You feel like they love you and you love them. You don't know why, because you just met them.
So, how can we love someone we just met?

God's word gives us the answer. His word is simple and true.

"...perfect love casteth out fear:"  (1 John 4:18)

When we live our lives without fear, God's love becomes perfect within us.

We meet other people and we feel the simple love of God.
We feel fulfilled and joyful.  It is good to be connected to other people who share the same love of Jesus as we do.  It is a deep-seated spiritual connection...stronger than words can describe.
Most of the time, I just have to describe the gifts that I receive from our Father in Heaven as purely awesome!

I can only imagine how awesome it would have been to walk with Jesus, as He walked on the earth.
Jesus lived life in human form. He had human feelings and emotions. He had a job as a carpenter.  He had a family; maybe even a wife.
He got tired, stressed and tormented, but He still loved people and shared His Father's word.
Jesus was born to be the Savior of mankind, so that we would not live in fear,  but instead, ...in His perfect love,: the love that casteth out all fear and evil.

Sometimes we meet people who do not share God's love.  Filled with bitterness, hatred, or unforgiveness, these people would rather walk away from us and God because they live in fear.
They fear the love that they feel in us.
I have had this happen to me many times.
And I questioned myself.
Am I too loving?  Am I too Godly?
Am I too joyful, too happy, too warm?

And the answer is no, I am not.

I am just filled with the perfect love of Jesus.  His love dwells within my heart.  I would never want it to go away.  I only wish to share it with everyone that I meet.
If people choose to walk away from love, it is their choice. However, they don't have to walk away, because they would soon discover that:
They really have nothing to fear because the perfect love of Jesus casts away fear and rebukes the devil.
And that is God's simple truth!

My prayer for today is that we choose to live in the perfect love that our Father in Heaven has provided for us. May His warmth overflow from our hearts into everyone that we meet.
As perfect love casteth out fear and rebukes the devil, may His light shine through our eyes and in our smiles, as well as, in our interaction with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Be loved and be fulfilled in this; His gift.
In Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
