Are you answering or ignoring God's call?  John 10:27-29  Patricia Ann: Originally posted on Sunday, May 20, 2018

Are you answering or ignoring God's call?
It is no secret that the enemy of our God runs much interference in the lives of God's children.   Sometimes we cannot distinguish his voice and confusion overwhelms us.
But, are we ignoring God's call?
Are we so self-consumed in our own affairs that we put God on the back burner and we will get to Him later?
After all, He will always be there.  Right?
Did you ever think that just as much as we want to know that we can depend on Him when we need Him, God also wants to be able to depend on us when He calls.
Sometimes, He just needs one person to hear Him and jump into action!  He seeks for one person to answer His call... to save a life provide comfort or food, to talk with someone, to give a smile or to provide a bed to sleep on.  The list goes on and on.

Jesus said, “Let the dead bury the dead,” in response to a disciple who wanted to spend time at home before committing himself to the Lord.
When Jesus said, "Follow me." the disciple replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father." And Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:59–60).
I wonder just how many people in this world are dead to Christ?
Do they not see His beauty, or hear His voice or desire to follow Him? Do they not know His splendor or the satisfaction and joy that He brings?

In John 10:27-29  we read... "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."

Take some time to reflect on your life.
Has Jesus called you to act on His behalf in this world?
Did you stop what you were doing to follow Him?
Will  you stop what you are doing and follow Him now or will you ignore Him because you matter more? Is your life and the things you have going on really more important than answering a call from Jesus?
Do you truly know Him or just want to claim His name?
If Jesus comes back today or tomorrow, what will He say to you?
Will He say, "Well done my faithful servant or depart from me, for I never knew you?"
While there is still time, I encourage everyone to become obedient to our Lord.  Read His word, sing praises to His name and quiet your spirit, so that you can hear His voice and please, please do not ignore His call.
Someone's life may depend on it.
My prayer for today is that we, as God's children slow down and listen, so that we can hear His voice and seek the face of Jesus.

Sometimes He just needs one person to hear Him and jump into action!  He seeks for one person to answer His call... to save a life provide comfort or food, to talk with someone, to give a smile or a provide a bed to sleep on.  The list goes on and on.
I pray that we would all be available to answer and not ignore our Father's call to action.
Love and Blessings in Jesus precious name. Amen
