A Purse Full of Change....as Our God Restores!

Patricia Ann

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10)

Times of refreshing will come from God’s presence. He will send Jesus, Who was preached to us. God has spoken of restitution through His prophets since the beginning of the world (Acts 3:19-21).

Do not fear, but be glad and rejoice, because God will do great things. He has given you the former rain moderately, and now He will give you the former and the latter rains. The floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with wine and oil. You will have plenty, and praise God. His people will never be ashamed (Joel 2:21-26).

I woke from a dream. I had found an old purse of mine and in it were many things that I had been missing. I'm not exactly sure what all of the items were. They were just things which  I had once  that been lost or misplaced over time. The items were each tucked in a row of pockets, yet visible for me to see each item. I remember thinking that I didn't even remember that I had that purse and the items inside were vaguely familiar. As I looked at the items, I discovered that they were once some of my favorite items. There might have been lipstick, a comb, sunglasses, jewelry... like a ring and a necklace, something written on a paper and other things that I can't really define. However, I am of the recollection that all of the things in the purse were surely mine at one time. They had been a part of who I was over time. They were things that I had enjoyed and treasured.
Then I saw the change. The bottom of the purse was filled with change. There was a lot of change!
I suddenly received the revelation that the dream of the purse filled with change was about my life. There were things that had been taken from me. They were things that I valued. The change in the purse was an indication that change is coming and that I will receive back all that has been stolen from me.
This dream is important, as I have been yearning for parts of myself that I felt I had lost. I was yearning to find myself, my gentleness, my beauty, my ability to trust and love again.
This dream was assuring me that these things are going to be restored to me, as change is coming or is already here.
God's word tells us that the enemy of our soul seeks to kill, steal and destroy.

I believe that the significance of this dream is not just for me, but for any of us who have been struggling to find ourselves again, in the midst of struggles and trials that have seemed never ending.
God's word promises to restore all that is stolen from us, to give us plenty for the loss, to restore family, finances, and all that the enemy has stolen.
I heard Him say, "Be still now and watch me work."
Today, I thank God that He does see us through the storms and that He is the One who is in the business of restoration and change. Because of His great love for each of us, He has a plan to take care of us.
After periods of drought in our life, our God is good to restore who we were... to Whose we are!  We are His and we will become better than we were before.

My prayer for today is that we accept the change! May we see His goodness and His love for us in the restoration of change. May we rest in the knowledge that there is a storehouse of the things that we lost which will be restored in a better way.  It will indeed also glorify God in the process with former and latter rains falling.  Receive the Goodness of our Lord!

Let us the Praise God for He is Good!
Today, let us all fall on our knees in love and reverence of Who He is, knowing Whose we have become.

Love and blessings to all in Jesus Precious Name. Amen.
